FORGOTTEN SONS
ENERGETIC ALT-ROCKERS KICK ON WITH ANOTHER KILLER SINGLE!
FORGOTTEN SONS are set to break out with the launch of their enthralling new self-titled EP, out Friday 18th November. The EP is heralded by an exciting new single and video, Socials, out now – https://youtu.be/1UW2NwQYvpw.
Coming at you from the Shetland Islands, FORGOTTEN SONS have repeatedly demonstrated not only their resistance to overcome the logistics of being an island band, but their fortitude for creating and growing a fanbase far beyond their local scene. Born in 2015, the dynamic alt-rockers are truly fueled by their unique location and close friendship bonds and take strong influence from the poignant punk rock of Gaslight Anthem and Hot Water Music, and the varied and expansive endeavors of Biffy Clyro.
FORGOTTEN SONS have frequently toured throughout the UK and have regularly put out a series of successful releases. However, like many, the band have recently encountered difficulties, including leaving their label and line-up alterations. But the addition of bass player Stephen Ferguson and live guitarist Callum Anderson, added to the solid foundations of founding members Sandy Middleton (Guitar and Vocals) and John Gair (Drums), have allowed the diligent punks to widen their scope and expand even more on their already lively and diverse sound.
The threesome are now set to rise further with their new self-titled EP. The record was tracked, recorded, mixed, mastered and engineered all in-house by drummer John Gair at his recording studio, Poolhouse Studios. Harnessing their captivating surroundings and giving much attention and devotion to their craft, FORGOTTEN SONS have thoughtfully created a record that is rich, sincere, and highly appealing. From the uncontrollable up-tempo potency and emotional drive of Flipside to Socials’ ultra-hooky chorus and contiguous pulse, to Wasteland’s immersing phrasing and all-consuming draw, and I’m Fine’s naked and stripped back appeal, FORGOTTEN SONS have a stellar record that resolutely stands up from beginning to end.
The band will tour the EP during the next few months and further singles are also scheduled. Stay glued to the band’s sites for announcements and more.
