“The soul of this album is country, not the country of sin and redemption, grinding poverty, and constant flirtation with death, but the country of unrequited love, broken hearts and crumbling dreams.” Afterword
“..you’d best be ready for an emotional journey from this powerful songwriter. Combine Girelli’s own creative talent with that of his late friend, and the result is as magical as it is powerful ..Stunning.” TotalNtertainment
With his Sun Records album Out of This Town—a collaboration with legendary songwriter Mac Davis—now out in the world, Coyle Girelli is set to play London’s Lexington on October 9th.
He said “It’s been way too long since I played a show in London and I can’t wait be back on stage there and playing the music from the new album to a London audience. It’s going to be a very special and memorable night!”
Coyle Girelli was never the same after he and Mac Davis sat down with a cup of coffee, a couple of guitars, and a bag full of Davis’ handwritten lyrics. The cinematically romantic songs he and Davis collaborated on became his stylistic North Star. Now, these songs have finally been released via Sun Records. Out of This Town is available on vinyl, CD, and all streaming platforms. Honouring the album’s duet intent, Girelli handpicked the album’s guest performers, including KT Tunstall, Jaime Wyatt, Cassandra Lewis, and Mac Davis himself.
