firebrand Shares Horror-Inspired New Music Video For New Single “Backburner”
Cleveland, OH — Metalcore band, firebrand, are sharing their single, “Backburner” today. Accompanying the release of “Backburner” comes a brand new music video. The track follows swiftly behind their 2025 singles,”Orbit” and “ULTIMATUM.”
firebrand delivers a merciless atmosphere with “Backburner.” The track showcases brutal clean-vocals laced in stand-out screams that create an ear-catching contrast.
““Backburner” is a song about not allowing yourself to be someone’s backup plan or second choice. I wrote it during an emotional time a few months after my girlfriend of over four years had broken up with me. It was an “ending on good terms” type of breakup, and she had even gone out of her way to tell me that she would be willing to try it again sometime in the future. This initially gave me a sense of hope, but left me in a state of limbo as time passed and I found myself at the crossroads of wanting to move on but feeling like I couldn’t since part of me was still holding onto that hope and waiting for her to come back into my life. I ended up at the conclusion that I should value myself more than to waste my time waiting on someone else while they do as they please, and I even found myself getting mad at the idea that they had given me false hope just to keep me as an “option” (whether this was actually their intention or not). This informed the heavy tone of the track, and helped me finally move on from the entire situation and get to a better place.” – firebrand
