An annual tradition in Leicester on the night before Uprising, the festival like to get fans together and give them a pre-party to get them in the mood for the big day.
With Brujeria, Breed 77, Discharge amongst the bands announced for the main event, Uprising have released a whole heap of heavy!
Headlining The Night Before Uprising at the Firebug in Leicester are London Sludge heroes, Hang The Bastard! After disbanding in 2016, Hang The Bastard have performed a few shows prior to the pandemic but announced in March a full return with shows booked with EYEHATEGOD as well as a series of headline shows. Uprising are thrilled to welcome the band to headline ‘The Night Before…’

Joining the bill are Foul Body Autopsy, the one man Death Metal show, armed with a drum machine and a whole heap of riffs and Death Metal growls. Local Leicester hero who very kindly donated a special Uprising guitar that was raffled off for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation at last year’s Uprising.

Returning to Leicester is East Anglian Melodic Death metallers, Akilla. Following the release of their debut album ‘The Gods Have Spoken’ and a performance at Reykjavik Deathfest in Iceland. Akilla are fast building a name for themselves. Bring those Viking drinking horns and raise a toast to the old gods.

Completing the line up are this years Metal To The Masses Leicester winners, Voidwalker. The Technical Death quintet stormed through to secure their place on the New Blood stage at Bloodstock and then continued to prove at the festival why they were worthy winners with a high energy performance to a packed out tent.
