West Midlands hardcore four piece FANGS OUT have released their brand new EP ‘The Humour In Hell’ today. Listen to the EP in full – HERE. To celebrate the release the band have released a video for brand new single ‘All The Best Drugs’. Speaking about the new single frontman Mikey White said “All the best drugs” is about my internal struggle with juggling on one hand the rock and roll dream of being a full time musician and on the other hand “real life”, working a 9-5 to pay bills and support my family. The video was an absolute blast to make with the other boys in the band. I think we can all relate – at least occasionally – to being a fun-loving party werewolf by night only to have to turn back into a human by day, go to work and do the washing up!” Watch the video for All The Best Drugs HERE or by clicking the image below.
On the EP Mikey added “I’ve always been the type of person to use humour and jokes to deal with difficult situations, or as a defence mechanism, instead of dealing with things head on. In my approach to lyrics I’m no different. Most of the songs on the EP deal with some personal – and at times pretty heavy – subject matter (except Sabbath Town – that’s just about the band raging in Birmingham) but portrayed in a very tongue-in-cheek way. It might not be healthiest way to deal with things, but it’s my way of trying to find the light in the darkness or The Humour in Hell.” You can see the band live at The Humour In Hell EP Release Show at The Asylum in Birmingham on the 27th October 2023. Tickets are on sale now and available – HERE Fangs Out are 4 piece hardcore/punk band hailing from the West Midlands. With two EPs already under their belt (2020’s Curse Words and 2021’s Pretty Bleak) they have quickly established themselves as a band to watch. The band released two singles, “Get Grim” And “Doomed Anyway” at the start of 2023, securing plays for both tracks on Radio 1’s “Introducing Rock” with Alyx Holcombe and also regular plays on Primordial Radio. Both songs have also been added to several playlists most notably the Knotfest-curated “Pulse of the Maggots” playlist. The band have no plans of stopping there, quickly following up with their new EP “The Humour In Hell” which features 5 brand new songs including the single “Sabbath Town”.
