Exploding Head Syndrome Release “Confessions” And Announce New Album Deathbeds Coming May 8th 2026

Oslo-based punk rock outfit Exploding Head Syndrome return with new music and their most uncompromising statement to date. Their new single “Confessions” drops March 13th, alongside the announcement of their upcoming album ”Deathbeds”, set for release on May 8th 2026.
The first single “Confessions” sets the tone for the album. The song addresses a system where consequences rarely fall equally, and where financial power often determines who is held accountable and who walks free.
When the song was written, its themes were already relevant.
Since then, scandals involving rich white people taking more than their fair share have now surfaced in the band’s home country, Norway,  a nation previously confident that corruption was something other people did.
Musically, EHS deliver what they are known for: 90s-inspired punk rock fused with melodic hardcore; hard-hitting, urgent, and uncompromising.
A world governed from the ditch:
EHS also announce their upcoming album ”Deathbeds”, which was recorded in Oslo in the fall of 2025 with Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners/Hot Water Music) as producer.

The album was mixed by Kjell Thomas Tøssebro Mathisen and mastered at Oslo Fuzz by Espen Høydalsvik.

Thematically, the record is as sharp as its sound;
A world run into the ground by old men who will soon be gone, yet still cling to power, wealth, and influence. It paints a picture of a system where some get away with everything, while others are left with nothing.
Despite its rather dark outlook on reality, the album somehow still makes room for songs about drunk band members, and even a full-blown musical advertisement for hot sauce.
ABOUT:
Formed in Oslo in 2010, Exploding Head Syndrome have spent fourteen years, six releases, and a three-digit number of shows shaping themselves into one of Norway’s most seasoned bands within their genre.
The band has performed at festivals such as Punk Rock Holiday (Slovenia), Exit Festival (Serbia), Jera On Air (Netherlands), and Revolution Festival (Romania), in addition to extensive touring across Norway and Europe.
Exploding Head Syndrome blends 90s punk rock with melodic hardcore. With their latest release, Victims (2023), their distinct sound remains instantly recognizable: melodic yet aggressive, intense and direct. Their high-energy live performances match the urgency of their music, expect stage diving, circle pits, and no holding back.
With “Confessions” and the forthcoming album “Deathbeds”, Exploding Head Syndrome enters a new and uncompromising chapter, turning their focus directly toward the power structures dragging the world down, and refusing to look away!
