Experimental Industrial Noise Rock Artist Warren Schoenbright Prepare To Release Two Dances For The End Of Days on Road To Masochist

WARREN SCHOENBRIGHT – TWO DANCES FOR THE END OF DAYS

For over a decade London’s Warren Schoenbright have been sculpting their sonic monuments of noise; dark visions of experimental, industrial sound that challenge, scour, hollow out and break open the listener. From the excoriating, damaging abrasion of 2014s Plateaus EP, to the critically acclaimed diversity of atmosphere and textures that is 2024s Sunless – a spiralling descent through the horrors that lurk in the sub-levels of our mind, a harrowing examination of the self in search of redemption – everything that Warren Schoenbright have dragged into the light has been, in equal parts, demanding, fascinating and rewarding. And now they bring us their first unsettling offering of 2026, a soundtrack to accompany our seemingly irreversible decline into fractured, hate-ridden rot…Two Dances For The End Of Days.

The first of these two damned dances, ‘Pyrrhike’, begins in portentous darkness, with echoing calls reverberating in the stygian gloom – warnings, laments or death knells – before they are overtaken by a dirty, frantic rhythm that leads you on a breathless flight through a decaying urban nightmare. Its mechanistic, industrial, pounding constructs an unnerving soundscape born from societal collapse and when an abrupt silence hits at the black heart of ‘Pyrrhike’, it generates a sense of panic and imminent danger that will have you scanning your instantly alien surroundings for the source of threat. When the vocals finally arrive they are tortured and desperate, a visceral shock, crying out from the clashing jaws of the machine.

The second dance, ‘Bacchanalia’, offers no respite from ‘Pyrrhike’s nightmare. Its slow, inexorable, steam hammer grind, drags you into a mechanized hell of pitiless, emotionless destruction. The voice here is distorted and soulless, a powerful testament to the ongoing eradication of humanity, the methodical incineration of beauty, creativity and individual thought. ‘Bacchanalia’ is perhaps Warren Schoenbright’s most terrifying invocation of bleak, hopeless horror.

Recorded and mixed at Holy Mountain Studios by Misha Hering (40 Watt Sun, Wren, Puppy etc) and mastered at Berlin’s Scape Mastering (Laibach, Cabaret Voltaire, The Orb etc), Two Dances For The End Of Days possesses a formidable sound palette – primal and fearsome, emotive and atmospheric – that enables it to surround, overwhelm and devour the listener. It pulses with a frightening, vibrant life that is both compelling and intimidating. It will be released by Road To Masochist, the perfect partners for Warren Schoenbright, on April 17th, on CD and digital formats. It is time to confront the inevitable darkness once again.
