Friday, November 1, 2024 – Progressive metal innovators, Etherius, are proud to unveil their latest album “Hymns of the Crimson Raven”. Following in the footsteps of their critically acclaimed album, “Chaos. Order. Renewal.”, their sophomore record marks a defining moment in the band’s career, pushing the limits of the genre with its intricate compositions, anomalous influences, and ferocious energy. Fans can listen the new album HERE. Fans can also check out the brand new video for the record’s title track HERE or at the link below.

Led by guitarist Jay Tarantino, Etherius has carved out a distinct place in the metal world since forming in 2017. With “Hymns of the Crimson Raven,” they take their signature blend of blistering guitar work and classical-inspired melodies to new heights. Produced by guitar maestro Angel Vivaldi, this latest album is poised to turn heads and make an indelible impact.

Speaking on today’s album release, frontman and guitarist Jay Tarantino shares:

“Hymns of the Crimson Raven” encapsulates everything we’ve done on our previous releases while also pushing our songwriting and musical chops into new territory. The title track found us experimenting with slower, groovier riffs and simple melodies that are still just as intense as any of the more technical songs on the album.”

Prior to the release of their debut album, “Chaos. Order. Renewal.”, Etherius were set to share the stage with Allegaeon in 2020, but the pandemic led them to refocus their efforts in the studio. Now, with “Hymns of the Crimson Raven”, they’re more than ready to reintroduce themselves to fans both old and new, delivering their most ambitious work yet. Their latest record represents years of perseverance, growth, and relentless dedication to their craft, solidifying Etherius’ place as a band that thrives on taking risks and breaking new ground.

Fans of Megadeth, Testament, and other thrash icons will recognize the classic influences, but Etherius takes it further, pushing their riff-heavy, intricate compositions into bold new territory. The trio blend neoclassical flourishes, modern production techniques, and dynamic compositions that feel fresh and forward-thinking. Etherius isn’t just paying homage to the genre’s forebears—they’re actively shaping its future, bringing a modern sensibility to the beloved traditional thrash sound.

Be sure to to stay tuned for more news from Etherius coming very soon.

ABOUT ETHERIUS

Since forming in 2017, Etherius made themselves known for their unique take on the modern guitar instrumental genre. Refusing to bend the knee to trends, the group’s direction stands its ground while elevating their sound to new and uncharted territories. Etherius, led by guitarist Jay Tarantino, have managed to modernize the approach of classic influences such as Megadeth and Testament to inspirational new heights.

Their newest album, “Hymns of the Crimson Raven,” marks the start of an entirely new chapter for the neoclassical thrash metallers. Produced by Angel Vivaldi and mixed by Jason Suecof (Trivium, All That Remains, August Burns Red), their upcoming album is sure to turn the guitar instrumental genre on its side with a much needed power-packed release of ferocious guitar playing and unrelenting thrash riffs with a classic aura.

Their debut EP, “Thread of Life” garnered them the fanbase to open for acts such as Allegaeon and Within The Ruins. Slated to tour with Allegaeon in 2020, the unfortunate circumstance of the pandemic kept them home and focused on their second release “Chaos. Order. Renewal.” produced by guitar virtuoso Angel Vivaldi and mixed/mastered by Chris Clancy at Audioworks Productions. After the album’s success, it was clear that Etherius were here to stay and continue to push the boundaries of what progressive thrash metal can become.

2024 has seen the debut of their third release which takes the genre of guitar instrumental to new and unexplored heights. Stay tuned towards the future, as Etherius is just getting started.
