Esprit D’Air release their highly-anticipated fourth studio album Aeons

“Esprit D’Air are at their cinematic best, striking a balance between noir grit and electro-enhanced sci-fi elements.” – Rich Hobson, Metal Hammer
“Gargantuan, taking electronic-sounding elements and just layering it over some of the best guitar riffs I’ve heard in a minute.” – Nel Hylton, BBC Radio 1
“Showcases how these guys have the ability to mix up so many flavors. It’s proggy, cinematic, it’s synthy, it’s a bit DragonForce-y at times, a bit metal-y, but all the time, it’s bloody great.” – Alex Baker, Kerrang! Radio
“You just know what you hear in your headphones will be recreated perfectly live too such is the band’s reputation. Aeons marks another step forward for one of metal’s most consistent acts.” – Gary Trueman, Devolution Magazine
“Aeons is a masterpiece from start to finish, so mark your calendars for November 7th. You do not want to miss it!” – Benedetta Baldin, Chaoszine
Esprit D’Air releases their fourth studio album, Aeons on November 7, 2025. Entirely self-produced and written by the band, the album features recent fan-favorite singles ‘Chronos‘ and ‘Silver Leaf‘—both voted Best New Metal Track of the Week by Metal Hammer readers.
Aeons follows the band’s previous releases Constellations (2017), Oceans (2022), and Seasons (2024), each of which entered the Official Charts, with singles in the Official Top Ten Single Sales Chart.
Speaking about the concept, Kai says:
“Aeons is about time — how it can trap us, test us, and push us to the edge. These songs were written in a world that feels increasingly uncertain, where conflict, division, and crisis shape our lives. But within that darkness there’s still resilience, hope, and the possibility to begin again. The songs travel through themes of despair and struggle, but also resilience and hope, and a reminder that even in dark times, there’s a way forward.”
Esprit D’Air is led by guitarist and producer Kai, also a current member of The Sisters Of Mercy, with Vincent Velazco (ex-Ghost, Pendragon) on drums, Takeshi (ex-MergingMoon) on bass, and Yusuke on guitar.
Following their successful European tour across ten countries, performing at venues with capacities of up to 1,500, Esprit D’Air will also embark on a grassroots UK and Ireland tour from November 2025 in support of the Aeons album. Opting for more intimate venues, the band want to bring the new record to fans up close, capturing the raw energy of smaller shows. The tour will also include a rescheduled performance in Barcelona, which was originally postponed due to a national power outage.
While past albums included collaborations with guest artists such as Ben Christo (The Sisters Of Mercy), Ryo Kinoshita (ex-Crystal Lake, Knosis), Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest, KK’s Priest), and Heavygrinder, Aeons represents a new chapter written and solely produced by the band.
Esprit D’Air is an award-winning alternative metal band led by guitarist and vocalist Kai. Known for their fusion of melodic vocals and heavy riffs, the band operates entirely independently, handling everything from production to release. Esprit D’Air has previously charted in the Official Charts and toured internationally, building a loyal global following.
The new Esprit D’Air album, Aeons, is out on November 7th, 2025, and is a strong contender for #1 in the Official Rock and Metal Albums Chart.
