ELI YOUNG BAND PREPARE FOR LONG-AWAITED DEBUT UK SHOWS

On the Main Stage at The Long Road Festival this weekend, followed by headline shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow

Latest Album ‘Love Talking’ Available Now

LONDON, U.K. / NASHVILLE, TN. – (Aug. 24, 2023) – Over 20 years into their acclaimed career, the GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum Eli Young Band are making their way to the UK for the first time this weekend, bringing their headline Break Up In A Bar tour to London, Manchester and Glasgow following a main stage performance at The Long Road festival.

The group, responsible for 14 Billboard charting singles, including four US #1 hits – ‘Crazy Girl’, ‘Even If It Breaks Your Heart’, ‘Love Ain’t’ and ‘Drunk Last Night’, have amassed over 3 Billion global streams and a dedicated worldwide fanbase, but have managed to cling fast to their Texas roots.

With the 2022 release of their album LOVE TALKING – out now via The Valory Music Co., the ACM winning, multiple CMA, CMT and Teen Choice Award nominees embrace what makes them different once and for all.

Associated Press described Love Talking as “a smart, relevant antidote,”, while American Songwriter praised the project’s “silky smooth” delivery showcasing “the fruits of the band’s recent creative explosion”. Billboard said of the title track, “this ultra-romantic new release from the group swirls with an irresistible melody and propulsive rhythm.”

Speaking to The Long Road festival founder Baylen Leonard on Absolute Radio Country last month, lead singer and songwriter Mike Eli said, “Whatever we’re doing as a band it kind of stays real to us, I think it’s all about taking an organic approach to your music in a way that you are not chasing a new sound. For us we’re a glorified garage band at the end of the day.”

Bassist Jon Jones added, “…the people that have tweeted us or emailed us or direct messages over the years from the U.K. saying ‘you got to come over here’, if we could get like 25% of those people out it’s going to be a huge success.”

With limited tickets remaining for all headline shows, Eli Young Band take to the road across the UK next week, following their appearance at The Long Road:

Sunday, 27th Aug – The Long Road Festival, Leicestershire

Monday, 28th Aug – Academy 3, Manchester

Tuesday, 29th Aug – Islington Assembly Hall, London

Wednesday, 30th Aug – Òran Mór, Glasgow
