ELECTRON
BRAND NEW SINGLE & VIDEO RELEASED!
UK metallers, ELECTRON, draw a line in the sand with their explosive new single and video, Sick And Wrong, out now. Watch the video, here – https://youtu.be/-VzkBd_NRV8.
ELECTRON are a highly accomplished London-based metal band with key influences stemming from Metallica and Alter Bridge, through to Halestorm and Architects. Originally hailing from Portugal, ELECTRON create a sound that is both musically and technically exhilarating. Comprised of Jason Payne (Vocals/Guitar), Joanna Hyde (Bass), and Nuno Bessa (Drums), the hotly-tipped power trio met as students at BIMM London, and from there, a keen friendship was born. After leaving university, the threesome formed ELECTRON in 2021, and since then, the band’s trajectory has been wholly purposeful and rapid. The emerging metallers have extensively performed at the nation’s capital on numerous occasions, as well as taking their fiery live show to many parts of England. ELECTRON’s last single, Wake Up, gained traction within the UK underground and secured radio airplay with several stations, including Total Rock.
With a growing number of followers in tow, plans to craft their debut album at Rogue Studios (Ellefson, Arthemis), and a plethora of live performances scheduled for 2023, ELECTRON are braced to rise. Next up, the engaging riff merchants will release their new single, Sick And Wrong. Frontman Jason Payne discusses: “The track symbolises solitude, melancholy, madness, anxiety and fear. The persona in this song (inspired by “The Scream, E. Munch”) is suffering a lot of pain. In the beginning, this person has hope that they will escape from the terror of its own mind – however, as the song evolves, they grow aware that the melancholy is eternal, and revolt with their agony.”
The single is an ideal showcase piece for ELECTRON, and deftly highlights the band’s guile, venom, and songwriting ability – 2023 promises to be a major year for this talented group of metallers.
