Dropout Kings Pay Tribute To Dragon Ball Creator Akira Toriyama With New Single “Toriyama”

Dropout Kings, the trailblazing trap-metal band known for their electrifying fusion of genres, is paying tribute to Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama with their new single “Toriyama”, which was released across digital platforms today. Dropout Kings vocalists Black Cat Bill and Adam Ramey are both fans of anime and drew inspiration from  Toriyama’s frenetic art style which revolutionized the manga world and the medium forever.

“When Akira Toriyama passed away Adam, Jalopy and I definitely felt the impact of losing a figure that inspired us so much with his art and stories,” commented Dropout Kings vocalist Black Cat Bill. “We admired his creativity and wanted to make a song that was fun and just celebrated the imagination of a man we greatly appreciate and his memory.”

“Toriyama” takes the traditional hip-hop elements of Dropout Kings sounds and amplifies it with an infectious organ and a healthy dose of chipmunk soul. The end result is a hip-hop banger that will make even the most jaded metalhead bob their head to the beat and chant “Toriyama”.

With their new album “Riot Music,” Dropout Kings have solidified their position as one of the most dynamic and groundbreaking acts in the music industry. Their previous EP, “The Last Ones Standing,” featuring collaborations with industry heavyweights DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit/House of Pain and Twiztid, created a significant buzz and set the stage for their meteoric rise. Adding to their accolades, Dropout Kings received a Grammy consideration for “Best New Artist” after signing with Suburban Noize Records.  Dropout Kings have been touring relentlessly since the release of the album with the likes Wargasm, Attila, Hanabie, Nonpoint and ILL Nino.

Phoenix Trap Metal outfit Dropout Kings continue to tour in support of their new album “Riot Music”. The band will embark on a European tour this summer before embarking on an Australian tour this fall.
