BIRMINGHAM, AL — Alabama-born singer-songwriter Drayton Farley has released his new single, “Turn Around,” available today on all major streaming platforms. Produced by Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit), the song offers a stirring glimpse into Farley’s forthcoming full-length album — blending heartfelt storytelling with the rugged sincerity that has made him one of the most compelling voices in modern Americana.
“Turn Around” will also be featured in the series premiere of CBS’s new drama Sheriff Country, marking another major television placement for the rising artist.
Farley’s momentum continues to build following a string of recent milestones. Earlier this year, he was honored with the 2025 Soul of the South Award for Music and Entertainment, celebrating his contributions to Alabama’s rich cultural legacy. He also made his debut at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café, performing for a packed room of fans and fellow songwriters.
With roots in the small towns of Woodstock and West Blocton, Alabama, Farley’s music carries the grit, soul, and storytelling spirit of the American South. His 2021 debut A Hard Up Life — recorded in his bedroom — quickly earned millions of streams and introduced his plainspoken yet poetic voice to listeners worldwide.
His 2023 release, Twenty on High (produced by Vaden and featuring members of The 400 Unit along with guest vocals from Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield), marked an evolution in sound while retaining the intimacy and honesty that define his songwriting. That same year, Farley made his Grand Ole Opry debut and toured extensively across North America and Europe, sharing stages with Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Ryan Bingham, Charley Crockett, and more.
Whether performing solo or with a full band, Drayton Farley delivers songs that feel lived-in and true — modern reflections of Southern life that speak to the universal human experience.
“Turn Around” is streaming now everywhere.
