DONSKOY SHARES THE NEW SINGLE ‘MIDDLEMAN’ – LISTEN HERE

LEAD ACTING ROLE IN THE NEW TV SHOW ‘VIENNA GAME’ COMING TO DISNEY+ 2025

A big year is rapidly heating up for the multifaceted musician and actor DONSKOY. His recent single ‘SIPPIN’ made waves internationally, with a spread of high profile airplay and press support. Now DONSKOY unveils his follow-up track  ‘MIDDLEMAN’ alongside the announcement of his lead role in the major new Disney+ show ‘Vienna Game’ coming 2025. Listen HERE.

‘MIDDLEMAN’ is a speaker-shaking explosion of nostalgic late 2000s R&B vibes, pulsating, bass-heavy hip-hop beats and the kind of soaring pop hooks that can unlock a tide of fresh discovery across radio and playlists. DONSKOY’s beguiling charisma gives the track an added star quality, his soulful delivery bringing the track’s dark, devilish imagery to life. Between‘MIDDLEMAN’ and ‘SIPPIN’DONSKOY’s music is now perfectly positioned to rise to new heights and connect with fresh audiences.

DONSKOY says, “Middleman is a song that, on the surface, might seem like a very easy-listening piece of pop music. For me, it has a way deeper meaning. In times when society gets divided further and further in terms of political stances, cultural views, and general misconceptions of what it means to be in the right at all times, it increasingly feels like I’m caught in the middle. I am in the middle of opposing views, in the middle of arguments and in the middle of being blamed or praised for something that isn’t actually my doing. And there are days when I want nothing more than to be the middleman. Neither here nor there. Not the hero nor the antagonist. Someone who is walking his path through life, searching for meaning and joy like anyone else. And maybe through that can bring people a little closer then further apart. And that’s why, in September 2024, I am nothing more than a middleman. But I hope the song will make people dance and the second time they listen to it… also think for a second”.

‘MIDDLEMAN’ is DONSKOY’s latest collaboration with Munich’s hit-making producer duo SAIN (Kelvin Jones, Scott QuinnTrettmann) after ‘SIPPIN’. He wrote ‘MIDDLEMAN’ with the Platinum-certified, Billboard Dance Chart #1 writer Derek Uellenbloom (Graham CandyDEEPEND) and Megan (Anthony Keyrouz, Paradigm,  Marmy).

Daniel Donskoy’s life has been one long adventure, a journey which has inspired his inspiring creativity in two different fields. Born in Moscow, he loved the soul and folk scene growing up in Tel Aviv as well as the euphoric rush of Berlin’sunderground club scene. His early career path in ballet didn’t take off but studying music and drama in London opened up new avenues, which took him to the West End and the small screen. But it was back in Germany that he became a big name, starring in hit shows and films, winning major acting awards, triumphing on ‘The Masked Singer’, and hosting the Germanyequivalent of the Oscars. Naturally his international profile began to explode too with roles in the Netflix hits ‘The Crown’ and ‘Barbarians’ as well as ITV’s ‘Victoria’ and HBO’s ‘STRIKE BACK’.

His music career started in parallel, his early singles and his success on ‘The Masked Singer’ leading to a sold-out club tour in Germany‘SIPPIN’ and MIDDLEMAN’ are the first steps as he prepares for his biggest push yet, with plenty more to come, including another three singles this year alone.

Some creatives might find that such a diverse background is limiting: there isn’t one country to focus his efforts on, while looking like an action star who performs in comedies and period dramas doesn’t provide a natural niche. But instead DONSKOY uses his unusual cocktail of qualities to his advantage. As he memorably told The Hollywood Reporter in an in-depth profile: “I’ve been lucky that people can’t pigeonhole me. It lets me be everything. If I only took roles based on my identity, I’d never get work. How many jobs are there for a Russian-German-Jewish-British-Israeli?”
