“DESTINATION CHAOS” KICKS OFF SINGLE DAY TICKET SALES

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic – October 28, 2022

“Destination Chaos”, the week-long punk rock-inspired winter music festival starting January 28, 2023 in the Dominican Republic announces the official launch of single-day ticket sales and early bird all-inclusive packages. A very limited number of single day tickets will be made available to non-resort guests with special pricing for local Dominican Republic residents starting at $125 per person/per day.

The 7-day party will feature more than 25 bands and comedians, many of which will be performing multiple times. The lineup includes the godfather of punk, Iggy Pop, SoCal’s classic punk from the Descendents, NY’s Parquet Courts, Gogol Bordello, Peter Hook from Joy Division (performing the classic Unknown Pleasures album in its entirety), Aussie sensation Amyl and the Sniffers, murder folk artist Amigo the Devil and East Coast favorites Bouncing Souls, performing throughout the resort.

Ticket holders must show a valid ID and Dominican ticket-holders must show proof of residency to gain entry into the intimate event of no more than 3,000 guests; once inside, attendees will enjoy access to non-stop stage performances till 11:30pm while taking advantage of the resort’s ‘All You Can Everything’ program – All You Can Eat (snacks, tapas, lunch and dinner), All You Can Drink (top-shelf branded cocktails & mocktails) and admission to the Senator Resort & Spa pools (18+ only), with complimentary towel and lounge chair.

In addition to its all-inclusive accommodations, entertainment and meals/tapas/drinks, the resort also offers a variety of room packages that include roundtrip airport ground transportation. Rooms range from junior suites to a 1,000 sq. foot villa with a private swimming pool overlooking a panoramic sea and kilometer-long beachfront expanse round-trip ground transportation. Non-stop flights from most eastern US, Canadian and European cities are served by five area airports including Puerto Plata, Santiago, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Samana.

Other acts scheduled to perform include Shame, The Chats, The Bronx, Starcrawler, Teenage Bottlerocket, Moscow Death Brigade, as well as comedy from Josh Adam Meyers, Eddie Pepitone, Casey Balsham, Joe Sib, Natalie Cuomo and more.

Of note: Bridge City Sinners will not be performing due to scheduling conflicts, but Texas powerhouse A Giant Dog has just been added to the lineup, as well as some great local bands, The Cat Lady, Los Pérex, and Shido.

A Giant Dog (Austin, TX) is raucous ear candy culled from the hook-driven melodies of Slade, the glammy swagger of Marc Bolan, the morbid fantasy of Killer-era Alice Cooper, and the unpredictable wit of Sparks. These songs are by, for, and about the losers, freaks, and outcasts – the lonely, terminally horny, boozehounds and party animals.

Los Pérex (Santo Domingo, DR) is a technical and innovative punk rock band that pushes the boundaries of the genre by integrating different musical influences such as Metal and Melodic Hardcore to create its own sound and essence. Formed in 1997 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the band honed its craft playing covers and booking non-stop live shows before releasing its 2005 debut album, Historia. This summer, the band treated fans to its latest 11-song release, Internacionalicemos La Esperanza. (LosPerexMusic.com)

The Cat Lady (Santo Domingo, DR) is a Dominican musical trio formed by Giancarlo Simó on guitar/vocals, Alberto Bustamante on bass, and Richard Ball on drums. The band is known for their mixtures of rock n’ roll, punk, country and bluesy rhythms. After the success achieved with their first album “If You Say So” they managed to play at festivals such as the Isle Of Light, Colonial Vinyl Fest, as well as publications in renowned international music media such as Nylon Mag and Beehype. Shido (Santo Domingo, DR)  is a pop punk band that formed in 2001 and first caught fans’ attention with the 2004 release of debut album Skaces Solar and its high-profile live performance at the Festival de Rock ANIVELDE.  After a second album release in 2007, the band went on hiatus and returned to form in 2020 with the release of Shhh! Shido is currently writing songs for its next album. Lemmiwinks (Panama City, Panama) With a mixture of psychedelic and progressive sounds, the Punk Rock band Lemmiwinks infects us with their energetic rhythm. The band was born in Panama City in 2006 and since then they have shown their commitment and dedication to their music, so much so that they have had the opportunity to participate in various festivals such as The Fest (Gainesville, FL), Massive Destruction (República Dominican Republic), to name a few.
