They call it Rural Canadian Techno… Harnessing the powerhouse talents of Jimmy Shaw (Metric, Broken Social Scene), Liam O’Neil (Kings of Leon), Dave Hodge (Broken Social Scene, Leisure Cruise), and conceptual artist Jon Morris (Windmill Factory, NOWHERE.io), supergroup CVCHE have released their new single “Bitcoin Takes A Hit.” PRESS HERE to listen to the single, a sonic swing trade through the blood-red chaos of crypto crash season which marks the fourth track from CVCHE’s forthcoming debut album Get Fluffy, out later this year. “Born during a brutal Bitcoin faceplant, this track charts the emotional candlestick of a true dump ‘n’ pump—starting in the red, ending in the green,” shares CVCHE. “Whether you’re diamond-handing through the dip or rage-selling your bags for ramen, this one’s for the degenerates, the chart-watchers, and the meme lords. First coming together in 2022 to remix Metric’s “All Come Crashing,” CVCHE began organically at Jimmy Shaw’s hideaway on a river in the Canadian countryside, a place which quickly became known for creative hangs, good food, great music, and its enviable “sock jams.” Inspired to make their own brand of techno during a “sock jam” session – sliding around in big socks on a slippery wood floor to the downbeat techno of The Field, Jon Hopkins, and Boards of Canada, CVCHE began work on their upcoming debut album Get Fluffy.
