“The 11-track album showcases Owens‘ unparalleled talent as he revitalizes cherished songs from his illustrious discography” – idobi Radio “This is less of an album and more of an homage to the long-spanning career of one of the best singers to grace the post-hardcore scene.” – New Noise Magazine
Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Craig Owens has released his new album VOLUME 1, available now on all digital music services through Velocity Records. Physical copies of VOLUME 1, including limited edition vinyl and CD, will be available November 10, 2023. Stream the album and pre-order physical copies HERE. Owens has brought new life to favorites from his vast catalog of work, pulling songs from Chiodos, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, Isles & Glaciers and badXchannels. Tracks like “Baby, You Wouldn’t Last A Minute On The Creek” (Chiodos) and “GOLD” (Isles & Glaciers) transform into lush, emotional piano ballads. Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows track “Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm” gets an acoustic makeover while still capturing the intensity of the original. “It’s Easy” marks the only totally new song on the record, a rich auricular experience about seeking relief. The album concludes with a bright rendition of Chiodos hit “3 AM” that is begging to be sung-a-long too. VOLUME 1 serves an incredible journey through Owens writing and performance ability, spanning eighteen years of work. VOLUME 1 was recorded, produced, engineered, and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Wonder Years) and mastered by Alan Douches at West Side Mastering.
