July 2nd, 2021 (Nashville, TN): Critically acclaimed songwriter and author, Mark Elliott, is not a new face in the music industry! Today the thirty-year-old songwriting veteran comes out with his heart-breaking single “Hear Your Voice”, an instant country classic that will leave you ready for more. Aside from being a regular performer at “The Listening Room” in Nashville, TN, Elliott has written for publishing houses including Bluewater Music, Maypop Music, and Sony Music/ATV. Writing for both independent and major label artists alike, Elliot has gone on to win notable songwriting awards including the “Kerrville New Folk Award”.
“Sometimes you just need to hear someone’s voice right next to you, not over the phone, not in some recording, and not in your dreams, but there, in the room. “Hear Your Voice,” tells the story of reconnecting with an old lover over the phone and how badly you want that conversation to continue in person.” – Mark Elliott
In his new single “Hear Your Voice”, Mark Elliott tells a heart-breaking story of rekindling a connection with a lost love. The instant classic is melancholic yet catchy as Elliot tells the story of answering the phone to his lover’s call after what seems to be years of disconnect. Elliott’s authentic country tone is brought to life through a mix of twangy guitars, expressive percussion, and rich vocals. And although this song is surely a country hit, fitting in with much of what’s on the charts right now, Elliott brings his own unique sound to the table.
Mark Elliott wrote and recorded “Hear Your Voice” with producer Gabe Burdulis, a young, talented guitarist. Cut at Trace Horse Sound, this acoustic rock track builds around a hypnotic open-tuned acoustic guitar and adds some of Nashville’s best young-gun studio musicians!
