Rapidly rising Manchester band Corella have released their brand new single ‘Rewire’, their first to be released via FLG. Listen here, watch the video here. Produced by Grammy-winning Jason Perry (The Molotovs, McFly, Don Broco), ‘Rewire’ is a blistering rock track which rides a current of soaring guitar riffs, relentless drumbeats and thunderous bass, while the commanding snarled vocals tap into the political discontent affecting both sides of the Atlantic. Regarding the single frontman and guitarist Joel Smith says, “A lot of people are so vulnerable, especially in the UK, it feels as though they’ll believe anything that gets put in front of them. This song came out of our frustration from simply observing that people have maybe been ‘rewired’ to think a certain way, but also encouraging them to flip that on its head, to challenge the status quo.” The song has already been going down a storm at Corella’s fierce live shows, and they debuted ‘Rewire’ at summer festivals across the UK and Europe last year. The track has continued to kick up a swell in 2026 on their tour across the UK with Kaiser Chiefs – a band which handpicked Corella as support following the witness of their scorching main stage performance at Kendal Calling. ‘Rewire’ marks a distinct change for Corella who have entered 2026 with a new ferocity and sense of purpose. They have taken their formative indie influences and honed them into something new and razor-sharp. Their latest circuitry buzzes with a new energy and darker sound, like lightning in a bottle, this Northern powerhouse is ready to explode. ‘Rewire’ is the first taste of new music from Corella since the release of their 2024 debut album Once Upon A Weekend, an album which smashed the Top 5 of the Independent Breakers Chart, and Top 20 of Album Sales, Physical and Vinyl charts. With a wealth of support for the band coming across Radio 1, Radio X and BBC Introducing, while also clocking up over 70 million streams since the release of the debut album, Corella have ignited a following which has led to numerous capacity headline tours across the UK and Europe, main stage performances at further festivals including Reading & Leeds, while also touring with the likes of Pale Waves, Circa Waves and The Wombats. Corella are gearing up to release their second album in 2026 with more details to follow soon. |
