New Hopeless Records signees and Swiss rock breakout Comastatic have today dropped their blistering new single, SUNBURN IN THE SUMMER.

A fierce and emotionally-charged anthem, SUNBURN IN THE SUMMER captures the exact moment you choose yourself – even if it means letting something (or someone) go.

Speaking on the track, the band explain, “‘SUNBURN IN THE SUMMER’ is about the breaking point you hit when you’re stuck in something that’s been draining you for too long – whether that’s a friendship, a situation, or a version of yourself you’ve outgrown. It’s that mix of anger and exhaustion, and finally deciding you’d rather deal with a little pain than keep holding onto something that’s already gone. It’s about cutting ties, burning bridges, and choosing your own peace… even if it stings a little at first.“

Hot off the back of their debut live shows with LØLØ and Redhook, Comastatic have been confirmed as special guests on Melrose Avenue’s upcoming UK and European tour this November.

Comastatic is an alternative rock duo from Zurich, Switzerland. Formed in 2022 by singer ‘Mattia Di Paolo’ and Guitarist ‘Jules,’ Comastatic encapsulates the feeling of watching the world fall apart and being powerless to alter its course. Caught in a paralyzing equilibrium between existence and inertia, the band takes listeners into their own realm where chaos meets vulnerability.

In 2022 with nothing but a dream, Comastatic created a vision, giving a voice to everyone caught in the motions. The pair took a leap of faith, traveling over 6000 miles to Los Angeles to work with notable producers Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly), Jon Lundin (Fever333, Point North,) and Matt Malpass (Blink-182) before launching Comastatic in May, 2023. Now, after inking a deal with Hopeless Records in 2024, the sky’s the limit for this duo and they are steamrolling their way to the top.
