CODY FROST UNVEILS NEW EP ‘ANATOMY’ AND STRIKING ‘BLOODSUCKA’ SINGLE
FEATURING DEBBIE GOUGH OF HERIOT
Cody Frost, the Burnley-born musician, illustrator, and tattoo artist celebrated for their fearless fusion of punk, rock, and hyperpop, today drops highly anticipated seven-track EP, ‘ANATOMY’, out now via Truth Music Group Limited/RCA Label Group. Alongside the release comes brand new single ‘BLOODSUCKA,’ featuring the flawless Debbie Gough of Heriot. The track is accompanied by a brutally bloody imagining of a pole dancer’s evening. It’s a ferocious single with an explosive collaboration that highlights Cody’s unapologetically raw energy and Gough’s blistering talent. Listen [HERE].
On ‘BLOODSUCKA,’ Cody and Debbie produce a track that is as cathartic as it is commanding. Cody shares: “BLOODSUCKA is a song dedicated to the nu metal I listened to growing up, a fantasy tale of vampirism, love and a do-or die mentality. I was lucky enough to have Debbie Gough help me on vocals, who I feel incredibly blessed to work with. She was one of my first friends in the industry.”
Before working together for the first time, Debbie Gough became known for crafting some of the most uncompromising riffs on the scene. As part of Heriot, the acclaimed metal band she joined in 2019, Debbie has helped shape a sound that’s both innovative and devastatingly heavy.
Born from a moment of inspiration at a car boot sale, the ‘ANATOMY’ EP continues Cody’s mission to create a deeply inclusive space in music, confronting themes of queerness, mental health, and identity. The repercussions of a bad break up soon turned into colourful layers of self soothing for Cody. Whilst staring at a £2 plastic heart, they knew that this would be the catalyst for an entire body of work. The EP follows recent standout releases like the introspective ‘PROCESS’ and the dynamic single ‘ALLIGATOR,’ both of which highlight Cody’s ability to blend vulnerability with sonic boldness. Each graphic title is intended to represent Cody’s obsession with gorey, symbolic visuals.
“Most of all, I want the EP to be bold. Something people can’t ignore.” – Cody Frost
Since their debut EP ‘It’s Not Real’, Cody has garnered over 3 million streams and cemented their reputation as a rising force in alternative music. Their meteoric rise includes high-profile collaborations with Enter Shikari (‘BULL’), You Me At Six (‘A Love Letter To Those Who Feel Lost’), and Bury Tomorrow (‘The Carcass King’). Cody has earned accolades such as a UK Breakthrough Artist nomination at the Heavy Music Awards and has been championed by outlets like Billboard, Kerrang, Rock Sounds, Wonderland, and BBC Radio 1.
Beyond their music, Cody is a multifaceted artist, working weekly as an illustrator and tattoo artist alongside a team of non-binary creatives. “Art and music are how I connect with the world,” Cody explains. “It’s personal, but it’s also about creating a larger community where everyone feels seen.”
