April 19, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA – Rising indie-pop sensation Cloe Wilder embraces vulnerability in her brand new EP, I Spent My Summer on the Road, out everywhere today (listen HERE). I Spent My Summer on the Road features two unreleased songs, including her new single “Take It In,” which was inspired by Cloe’s experience on tour supporting Spencer Sutherland last year. Also featured on the EP is the rebellious “Fake ID,” the somber, honest track “Little White Pills,” and her collaboration with NICOLOSI “Afterglow.”

“I Spent My Summer on the Road is my own little coming-of-age scrapbook,” Cloe explains. “I’ve been working on these songs since I was 15. I said everything that I wanted to. I talked about music, medication, relationships, and how it all affected me. I wanted to illuminate that side of myself and I’ve never felt closer to a project.”

‘”Take It In” is the core of my project,” Cloe continues, talking about the EP’s single. “I felt so conscious of myself when I made it. I wrote the line, ‘I am a complicated sinner with a complicated life’ and immediately knew what I was talking about; this uncomfortable stage of life made even stranger by how I’m living it. I just wanted to remember what was special about it.”

To accompany the EP and single is the “Take It In” music video, directed by frequent collaborator Jesse DeFlorio. “My only reference for the music video was the tunnel scene from The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” says Cloe. “I wanted that feeling of everything moving too fast. I think we got it.”

Cloe Wilder just completed a 23-city tour supporting Charlotte Sands in sold out venues across the United States. To celebrate the release of I Spent My Summer on the Road, Wilder will headline a hometown show at Crowbar in Tampa, FL tonight, April 19. For tickets, please visit www.cloewilder.com.

Cloe Wilder is a unique artist who emerged into teenagehood with a distinctive vision, complete with earthy melodies, a breathy vocal tone and nostalgic storytelling. Comparable to a Floridian young Taylor Swift, the 17-year-old’s witty but intimate lyrics depict the type of dream-like recollections of place, home and internal feelings you want to live inside forever. The bare bones of the folk pop-leaning songs like ”Super 8″ and “House by the Water” have been influenced by Bon Iver but Cloe’s overall world is holistically inspired by one of her favorite artists, Lana Del Rey.
