Manchester-based, synth-hearty rockers SHAPE OF WATER have shared their hotly anticipated third studio album, Petrichor, out today via self-release. The album’s release comes alongside the album’s final single, “Out of Time“, which is accompanied by a music video. Discussing the album, the band states: “Petrichor is a dark, cinematic, genre-defying journey through the complexity of human relationships. From obsession and alienation to longing, self-liberation, and the haunting beauty of letting go, the album dives into the rawest parts of the human experience” The album, which was mixed by the band’s own Rox Capriotti, and mastered by Grant Berry, comes following a string of singles released since 2024. SHAPE OF WATER’s third LP, following their debut, Great Illusions, in 2020, and their sophomore release, Amor Fati, the 2025 release of Petrichor sees the band truly realise their sound like never before. |
