Best known as the powerhouse vocalist alternative outfit Against The Current, who attract 4.5 Million listeners monthly on Spotify, Chrissy Costanza is releasing her debut solo, pop rock-infused single, “7 Minutes In Hell” available now, across all digital streaming platforms. After returning home from a sold-out world tour, this solo endeavour marks a bold departure from her work with Against The Current, showcasing a unique vision that is solely hers. Through the lens of a dark romance, Costanza explores the conflict between her true self and the idealised version others expect her to be. The song captures the vulnerability of being placed on a pedestal, plagued by the fear of falling from any deviation from others’ expectations. A lyrical twist on the game “7 Minutes in Heaven,” the song explores the line between Heaven and Hell, right and wrong and the allure of embracing one’s supposed darker side. The song features a rich, cinematic sound with a blend of dark pop and rock production, encapsulating a compelling narrative set in a world of angels and demons. Costanza adds ‘7 Minutes in Hell’ explores the unsettling reality of how someone else’s Heaven can be your personal Hell. For years, I was bound by others’ expectations, always questioning why I was drawn to what they deemed ‘wrong.’ This song is the awakening after falling from grace, realizing that what they called Hell might actually be my freedom.”

Collaborating with pop-rock duo VOILÁ on this debut track, Costanza tapped Luke Eisner and Gus Ross for their innate ability to combine elevated sonics, roaring vocals, and magnetic lyricism. With 2.6M monthly listeners on Spotify, the production duo has previously collaborated with Hey Monday’s Cassadee Pope, AVIVA, and Jordan Witzigrueter of The Ready Set.
In addition to the release of “7 Minutes In Hell”, Costanza has announced that she will be hitting the road alongside VOILÀ this Autumn on the Spin The Bottle US tour, her first solo run apart from Against The Current before heading to the UK and Europe with VOILÀ.
