Cavalier Attitude are a 4 piece punk band from East Antrim, Northern Ireland. Formed in 2019 by Daniel Graham, Thomas Duff-Mckenzie, Chris Jones and Jordan McMurray.
Their sound draws inspiration from a wide range of artists spanning multiple genres from modern and classic bands. Influences include the Ramones, Foo Fighters, Modern Baseball etc. These styles and influences have come together to form a unique, energetic and gripping sound that Cavalier Attitude have made their own on the local scene.
‘Transatlantic’ is the first single to be released from the band’s debut EP due to be announced later in 2023. Transatlantic is set to be released on 31st March 2023.
When talking about the track the band state that “Transatlantic was a combination of multiple genres within the punk scene. We knew we wanted to branch out and try new styles and methods of writing music”. Citing the sound of bands such as Origami Angel and Hot Mulligan, the band have again gone out of their comfort zone to add a new sound to their songs.
The song was written about the relationships we try to keep alive when we move away from home and the difficulties we face being so far away.
As part of their release, the band are playing a headline show in Lavery’s Belfast on the 7/4/23 to promote their latest single.
