The last twelve months have been an incredible journey for the UK-based, Venezuela–France–New Zealand trio. They kicked off 2025 with a blistering performance at Shiprocked Festival (US) alongside Parkway Drive, Nothing More, The Ghost Inside and Kid Kapichi, before tearing across Europe as main support to Bloodywood in February and March.
September saw Calva Louise rip through the US on a headline tour, followed by a UK run with Stray From The Path in November — all building on a monumental 2024 that included appearances at Download Festival, 2000Trees, Primordial General Mayhem, a US co-headline tour with Vukovi, along with festival slots at So What?!, Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.
They released their new album Edge of the Abyss in July to universal acclaim with support from BBC Radio 1( Rock Show, Introducing Rock Show, Future Alternative, Future Artists), playlisting at Kerrang! Radio and Primordial, as well as support at Metal Hammer, Rock Sound, Kerrang and Revolver.
The sprawling story of Calva Louise is captivating. The band that found each other from opposite corners of the world found their home and community in the UK. Their combined influences and experiences create an incredible melting pot of musicality, and with Jess Allanic’s compelling narrative vision, they’ve conceived something genuinely unique.
‘Edge of the Abyss’ sees characters travelling between different dimensions, with people who mysteriously resemble doubles of each of us, like shadows that seem to stalk us but who, in reality, seek to communicate. Who are these beings? What do they want from us? How can we reach them?
The album’s jaw-dropping cinematic sci-fi videos provided a unique to the complex multiverse narrative that weaves throughout the album – all directed and VFX by singer-guitarist Jess Allinac..
Set in 1994, our story begins with W.T.F, then through Impeccable and Tunnel Vision – help us understand the origins. The journey continues with Lo Que Vale introducing the protagonist, and through La Corriente and Under The Skin.
With a formidable live reputation built on raw power, precision and emotional intensity, Calva Louise’s 2026 UK tour promises to be their most explosive yet — a full-throttle collision of music, narrative and visuals that places audiences right at the centre of the abyss.
Calva Louise is Jess Allanic (Vocals/Guitar/Keyboard), Alizon Taho (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Ben Parker (Drums/Backing Vocals).
