BROADSIDE release new single

‘Control Freak’

New album, ‘Nowhere, At Last’, due out 10th April

2026 via Thriller Records

Band to play Slam Dunk Festival this May

Richmond, Virginia alt-rock outfit Broadside have today unveiled their latest single, Control Freakoffering another glimpse into their forthcoming album, Nowhere, At Last, due out April 10, 2026 via Thriller Records.

Arriving on the heels of January’s album announcement track Dark Passenger, new single Control Freak finds the band confronting emotional manipulation and captures the moment when awareness replaces denial and control begins to unravel.

Broadside’s vocalist Oliver Baxxter shares: “It’s about being controlled by someone else, and slowly realizing how much of yourself you’ve handed over. The quiet violence of being told it’s all in your head.

Broadside – ‘Control Freak’ (Official Music Video)

Broadside has never been a band to stay in one place for too long—musically or otherwise. The Richmond, Virginia-based band has spent the past decade carving out their own space in the pop rock scene. Drawing influence from The Killers, AFI, Kings of Leon, and Taking Back Sunday, their sound seamlessly fuses nostalgic rock energy with a fresh, modern edge. Their evolution has been nothing short of remarkable, taking them from underground favorites to genre staples, all while embracing the idea that growth and change are not just inevitable but necessary.

With Oliver Baxxter on vocals, Domenic Reid on guitar, and Patrick Diaz on bass and backing vocals at the helm, Broadside enters a defining new chapter with their upcoming album Nowhere, At Last, out this April via Thriller Records. The record captures the band in a more grounded and self aware space, reflecting on movement, identity, and the feeling of finally arriving after years of searching. While past releases laid the foundation, Nowhere, At Last represents a clear step forward, shaped by experience, growth, and a deeper understanding of who they are.

With their next chapter under the banner of Thriller Records, Broadside remains a band driven by passion, friendship, and the belief that growth is essential. More than just musicians, they are storytellers, channeling the wide-eyed excitement they once felt as kids dreaming of being in a band. With new music on the horizon in 2026, Broadside is ready to make their biggest impact yet—fearless, evolving, and unapologetically themselves.
