BRITISH PROG-ROCKERS IHLO ANNOUNCE UK TOUR DATES FOR OCTOBER AND NEW COLLABORATION WITH KSCOPE LABEL
2024 EDITION OF THE BAND’S DEBUT ALBUM ‘UNION’ EXPECTED LATER THIS YEAR
Characterised by a masterful fusion of progressive metal, electronic experimentation and subtle pop sensibilities, British band Ihlo’s sound is equal parts fascinating and intriguing. The five-piece have announced a new union with London prog label Kscope which will see the re-release of their debut album ‘Union’ later this year, alongside a run of UK tour dates in October.
Speaking on the news, lead singer and vocalist Andy Robison said “We in Ihlo are very excited to be working with kscope. After more than 5 years working as an independent act, to be taking the next step with such a highly established label featuring many artists we love and look up to is an awesome endeavour that fills us with a lot of energy for the future!”

Originally formed as a duo following a previous collaboration between vocalist Andy Robison and guitarist Phil Monro, Ihlo’s final lineup was complete with the introduction of additional guitarist Rob Mair, Clark McMenemy on drums and Michael Roberts on bass.
Queued for a Kscope 2024 Edition later this year, the quintet’s debut album Union, released in 2019, is a progressive expedition into myriad gorgeous sonic realms, deftly switching between passages of dream-like synth work and unrelenting, guttural chugging. Robison’s layered lyrics are inspired by themes of surrealism, nature and transcendence, his remarkable vocals calling to mind the likes of Jeff Buckley and Cedric Bixler-Zavala.
“A smörgåsbord of artful ambience, dancing djent and glossy pop hooks…something of a cult classic”
