British pop-punks Goldstate jump in at the “Deep End” sign to Manic Kat Records
Emerging pop-punk crew Goldstate have dropped their brand new single, “Deep End”. The heart-on-sleeve anthem nods to the early ’10’s scene, with driving guitars and compelling hooks adorning the band’s fourth single to date.
The Leicester outfit have also inked a deal with Manic Kat Records.
Discussing their new label home, vocalist Ben Pritchard shares: “We’re really stoked to be signing to Manic Kat Records, the home of Ryan Cabrera, Amber Pacific, Showoff, Todd Morse and of course, our friends in All At Once. It means a lot to us to align with a label that has our values and principles at heart and where it doesn’t just feel like a temporary fit but instead feels like a long-term home.”
Pritchard unpacks the story behind the band’s first single of the year. “Deep End is about mentally feeling like you’re sinking in the deep end, becoming numb from all of your emotions and losing touch with yourself, whilst also feeling the relationships you have with others around you deteriorate and fall apart.”
Breaking onto the scene just last year, Goldstate announced their debut with the explosive “Love Bomb”, setting out their stall as an exciting new name in pop-punk; one that harks to the late 00s and early 10s, whilst retaining an air of freshness, with infectious melodies and a sonic depth set by sizzling riffs and percussive potency.
Despite their recent formation, members Ben Pritchard, Danny Ray & Jezrah Giles, and Amy Barnett impressed throughout 2025, following the debut single with “Bad Blood” ft. Bronnie and “Nothing To Lose”, to cap a productive first year for the Leicester natives.
Joining forces with Manic Kat Records, the young four piece continue to dial down on a sound that will resonate with any era of pop-punk fan. Cultured musicianship, honest lyricism and soaring choruses adorn new single, “Deep End” & set the platform for an exciting 2026 for the newcomers.
