Brave Rival Announce New Album Fight or Flight Set for a Summer Release
Multi-UK Blues Award Nominated Rockers Brave Rival announce their brand-new 12-track, passion-filled and powerful album, ‘Fight or Flight’, due for release on 16th August 2024. What’s more, the band will be holding a special album launch show at Dingwalls, London on 12th September.
Brave Rival are spearheaded by dual vocalists Chloe Josephine and Lindsey Bonnick, giving the band a distinctive edge; and they’re aided by the instrumental talents of Donna Peters (Drums, Percussion and Acoustic Guitar); Ed ‘the Shred’ Clarke (Guitars); and Billy ‘Danger’ Dedman (Bass Guitar).
Formed in 2019, Brave Rival offer a modern take on classic rock vibes, and this gives them a fresh sheen and spin that’s earned the adulation and loyalty of their growing fanbase and praise from many a critic. This rising tide saw the release of their 2022 debut ‘Life’s Machine’, praised as “an impressive debut” by Henry Yates at Classic Rock Magazine.
‘Life’s Machine’ earned strong praise far and wide. It also brought the group to the attention of the American guitar superstar Joe Bonamassa, who rated them among his “favourite discoveries” of that year.
Taking the winning formula from their live touring and debut album forward, Brave Rival created their second album, ‘Fight or Flight’. Crowdfunded by a Kickstarter campaign, thanks to the faith of their loyal Bravian fans, the band hit that target in under 48 hours.
“To me, there’s a different energy,” muses Lindsey. “Lyrically, just about every song can be viewed in different ways. There’s a strong thread around mental health, whether we were writing about things we’d gone through ourselves or experiences picked up from meeting people on the road.”
Brave Rival will tour extensively throughout 2024, including ‘special guest’ spots on several dates from the 40th anniversary tour of British rock legends FM in April. They also have multiple nominations in this year’s prestigious UK Blues Awards.
2024 will see the release of the band’s hotly anticipated sophomore album Fight or Flight, taking elements of their debut and cranking it up several notches.
This year the band wants more of everything. It’s going to happen. Just watch.
Pre-orders for ‘Fight or Flight’ will open in May.
