Today, Australian chart-topping and ARIA-award winning indie pop act Boy & Bear release their newest single, “Silver Moon,” taken from the band’s forthcoming self-titled fifth studio album – due out May 26. “Silver Moon” is an introspective track that features Boy & Bear’s Dave Hosking’s signature vocal tones over syncopated beats and gliding guitar melodies. When asked about the song Hosking’s shares, “I think ultimately this song is about feeling loved and supported by so many people in my life but still feeling a sense of discontent.” “Silver Moon” follows a jubilant return to music for Boy & Bear who released the LP’s first singles – “State of Flight” and “Just To Be Kind” in 2022. Lead single “Apex” came last month with news of the album’s May 26th release. Boy & Bear was mixed by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Craig Silvey (Florence + the Machine, Arcade Fire, The National) at Toast Studios in London and recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney, Australia. Following four ARIA top-10 charted albums, including two #1 LPs, Harlequin Dream and Limit of Love, and the ARIA double platinum LP Moonfire – it is with high anticipation that the indie band gear up for their new LP. Boy & Bear will celebrate the release at the end of May in Australia with two very special and intimate evening events – Monday May 29th at Syndey’s Lansdowne Hotel and Tuesday, May 30th at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club. The evenings will feature Boy & Bear discussing their career journey, taking questions from the audience, and playing some of their new and most defining songs acoustically. Touring in Australia and New Zealand will continue with a plan to expand into the UK, EU, and US soon.
