BOTH BANDS TO TOUR UK & EUROPE THIS AUTUMN

Blackout Problems and Lake Malice have joined forces to release the new single ‘Quicker Than Death’ out now via SO Recordings.

‘Quicker Than Death’ pairs the driving emotive electro-rock of the Munich trio Blackout Problems with the powerful metal riffs and soaring vocals from the Brighton duo Lake Malice. The song has been co-produced with Blackout Problems’ frontman Mario Radetzky and Lake Malice, finished with mixing and mastering by Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds.

It’s a searing collaboration whetting the appetite for the thrilling live shows which can be expected from Blackout Problems and Lake Malice as they tour across Europe and the UK together this autumn on the RIOT tour.

Regarding ‘Quicker Than Death’ Blackout Problems say, “In preparation of our upcoming tour we thought it might be great to get to know each other up front and work on a song together. One that we can put into our sets and represent both bands on the RIOT Tour. It’s a great fit and we’re really looking forward to sharing the stage in 10 countries. The song has been mixed and mastered by one of our favourite artists Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari which is just another highlight.”

Continuing Lake Malice add, “It’s amazing to have the opportunity to work on a song together without even being in the same country and it was a great creative challenge. We didn’t even talk about what we wanted to make. We just started out and since both bands are artistically pretty different the mix led us to something new. It came about really naturally and we love the outcome a lot.”

The RIOT tour starts in October 2024 with 24 dates across Europe, with shows in Germany including additional support from post-hardcore band Sperling. Blackout Problems and Lake Malice will then play eight dates across the UK in October. Tickets are on sale now via http://www.blackoutproblems.com/
