Rooted in nu-metal groove but sharpened by modern aggression, BLACKMARKET combine pounding rhythms, deep synth layers, and anthemic vocals to craft a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-facing. With shades of Lorna Shore’s scale and extremity, the rhythmic punch of Fever 333, the driving groove of Stray From the Path, and the uncompromising weight of Knocked Loose, the band fuse intensity and atmosphere into a sound that feels deliberate, modern, and unmistakably their own.
The band’s previous single, Asphyxiate, taken from the EP, earned Single of the Week with Metal Hammer and gained strong support across radio and media outlets. Their next single, Radical Views, is set to raise the bar even higher.
Fraser Burrow (lead vocals) speaks about the new single: “This track is driven by Stray From The Path-style urgency—punchy riffs, heavy drums, and vocals fuelled by frustration. It’s darker, more dynamic, and built on pure aggression without compromise.” With the EP also set for release, Fraser adds: “Genre-bending and fierce. This EP showcases our range, it’s classic BLACKMARKET at its core, but with a heavier edge, leaning further into our metal influences to create something darker and more uncompromising.”
