Portuguese death/thrash veterans Biolence have just unleashed a new music video for another ferocious track from their fifth studio album, “Violent Obliteration”, set to be released on September 1st, 2025 via a triple-label collaboration between Doomed Records, Raging Planet, and Selvajaria Records. Titled “Extermination Through Mutation”, this new track premiered at No Clean Singing, who praised it saying: “A song that delivers monstrosity and madness… it does that too. In its changing sequences, it’s primitive and punishing, built from bestial bellowing and brutish rhythmic grooves that hit like piledrivers trading places with jackhammers (the main source of neck trauma), but madness also erupts in viciously drilling tremolo’d chords, blasting drums, and hair-raising screams.” Watch the video for “Extermination Through Mutation” here! Recorded and produced at Darkhammer Studios, who also oversaw all sound and visual elements, Violent Obliteration is described by the band as their most cohesive, direct, and violent record to date.
“This upcoming album is possibly our most cohesive, direct, and violent to date, a nuclear bomb of Death/Thrash Metal, with our signature lyrical themes such as the horrors of war, biological and mass destruction weapons, greed, human corruption, and its destructive impact on the planet,” says the band. And in case you missed it, the first single “Pit of Degradation” is also out now with an equally punishing lyric video, check it out here. Formed in 1998 in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto, Portugal), Biolence have more than 25 years of carnage under their belt. With past appearances alongside top-tier national and international acts, and performances at nearly every major Portuguese metal festival, the band’s reputation for delivering no-frills, old-school intensity is well-earned. |
