The Polish giants Behemoth are confirmed for Inferno Metal Festival 2025! Additionally, we can announce Gaerea, Lamentari, and Rosa Faenskap for next year’s festival!
BEHEMOTH
Polish band Behemoth has had a long career dating back to 1991. Over eleven albums, the band has grown to become a giant in extreme metal and the biggest metal band from Poland. With superb songs like “Conquer All,” “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel,” “O Father O Satan O Sun!,” “Ov Fire and the Void,” and “Chant for Eschaton 2000,” Behemoth has taken the world by storm. The band’s unique and distinctive music, blending black and death metal with lyrics about history and occultism, has made Behemoth stand out from the crowd. The band hasn’t played at Inferno Metal Festival since 2015, and we are delighted to welcome them back ten years later!
GAEREA
The Portuguese extreme metal band Gaerea started in 2016. The band’s music can be described as atmospheric and moody, yet filled with razor-sharp riffs and aggressive drums. So far, the band has released three albums, with the fourth coming in October on Season of Mist. Gaerea delivers electrifying performances, and we look forward to having the band back at Inferno Metal Festival!
LAMENTARI
Lamentari is a Danish symphonic blackened death metal band that started in 2019. The band has previously released three EPs, and this year saw the release of their debut album “Ex Umbra in Lucem.” The album has received excellent reviews and has won over metal fans in Denmark. They made quite an impression during their midnight mass at last year’s Copenhell, where they played with a choir and conductor. Now the band is ready to take over the rest of the world, and in Norway, the journey starts at Inferno Metal Festival!
ROSA FAENSKAP
Rosa Faenskap is a trio of angry musicians directing their aggression towards homophobes, capitalism, the patriarchy, and fascists. The band released their debut album “Jeg blir til deg” last year on the label Fysisk Format. Musically, Rosa Faenskap blends elements from black metal, post-rock, shoegaze, and hardcore punk. So far, the band has only played a handful of concerts, so don’t miss them when they play at Inferno for the first time.

INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL
The iconic Inferno Metal Festival started in 2001 – and is the longest-running metal festival in Norway – and one of the most important extreme metal festivals in the world. We are very proud to have this position and we will continue to promote Norwegian metal and bring bands from all over the world to Norway. The Inferno Metal Festival takes place for four days on Rockefeller’s two stages; Rockefeller and John Dee – as well as many smaller clubs around Oslo. The festival takes place during Easter when there isn’t much else happening in Oslo. The festival is usually sold out and more than fifty percent of the audience is from abroad. Ticket sales go to the whole world, including China, Australia, Chile, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, the USA, Colombia, Argentina, and many more.
