Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse release new live album and concert film Hot Nostalgia Radio Live and new single & video “One Massive Hit”
The brand-new single “One Massive Hit” is out now on all major platforms, alongside the release of our new live album and concert film Hot Nostalgia Radio Live.
At 152 bpm and just under 3 minutes, “One Massive Hit” is pure Beaux Gris Gris, loud, wild, and unapologetically fun. It’s a fast-driving rock anthem for the times we’re living in: a little chaos, a little catharsis, and a whole lot of heart.
The track was produced by Greta Valenti & Robin Davey, mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Skunk Anansie), and mastered by Oasis Master in Los Angeles.
It features Greta Valenti (Vocals, BVs), Robin Davey (Guitar, Bass, BVs), Tom Rasulo (Drums, BVs), and Ross Munro (Keys, Organs, Horns), recorded between California and the UK.
The accompanying music video is a raucous romp through Downtown USA (aka Downtown Riverside, California), featuring members of the extended Apocalypse family, from merch crew and bandmates to longtime collaborators and friends.
Appearing in the video are Greta Valenti, Robin Davey, Tom Rasulo, Ross Munro, Charlie Kay, Phil Wilson, Chris Cunningham, Marie Gammage, Victoria Pamlenyi, Emily Delapp, and more, plus makeup artist Jenna Keller (David Bowie, Euphoria), special effects duo Hardly Human FX, and even a few of our Riverside neighbours who joined in the fun.
“We’ve always said Beaux Gris Gris is a family,” says Greta. “From the band itself to the people who make us look good and the friends who lift us up, this video is all about love, community, and coming together to have fun. That’s what music is supposed to be.”
Filmed the day after Halloween in the U.S, the video captures a spontaneous day-and-night joyride through our hometown shot, edited, and released in a single day before we hit the road for our five-week European and UK tour.
