Badflower has announced the release of their forthcoming album, No Place Like Home, today. Out everywhere via Big Machine Rock on 20th June, the record will feature previously released tracks, “Teacher Has a Gun,” “London,” and the No. 1 Active Rock radio hit, “Detroit,” in addition to their latest radio single, “Paws,” out today on all platforms.

In true Badflower fashion, the Nashville-based rockers return to make hard topics bearable with their new album, No Place Like Home – the long-awaited follow-up to their 2021 sophomore record, This Is How The World Ends. Taking the time to get things right, frontman Josh Katz leads us through personal tales of paranoia, regret, and even pet loss, that somehow remain universally relatable and pleasantly palatable. The band’s signature ability to coat uneasy subject matter in self-deprecating disarmament makes this new record go down smooth.

With their new single, “Paws,” the Nashville-based rockers cover arguably one of the most difficult human experiences: the loss of a pet. Offering up a heavy dose of catharsis with pristine emo throwback production, the mid-tempo tune is driven by heartfelt guitar riffs, crashing drumlines, and gigantic choruses that will have you scream-singing along in honor of the furry friends we’ve lost along the way.

“Losing a pet is a very serious thing,” Katz explains. “It’s something I’ve been through, and I know a lot of other people have been through. I live on a farm by myself in the middle of nowhere, so I don’t have very many friends. My animals are my whole world. It’s a sad topic, but I like sad songs, and I hope it can help someone going through that experience right now.”

ABOUT BADFLOWER: Badflower isn’t afraid of making anybody uncomfortable. The Los Angeles-bred and Nashville-based quartet — Josh Katz (lead singer, guitarist), Joey Morrow (lead guitar, backing vocals), Alex Espiritu (bass), and Anthony Sonetti (drums) — siphon stress, sleeplessness, sex, sadness, mania, pain, and truth into revelatory alternative anthems. They continue to commit body, blood, mind, and soul to their art. After forming in LA in 2014, they dropped two EPs before sending shockwaves throughout the rock world with their 2019 full- length debut, Ok, I’m Sick, via Big Machine Label Group. Loudwire listed it among the “50 Best Rock Albums of 2019,” while singles “The Jester,” “Heroin,” and “Ghost” all vaulted to No. 1 at rock radio. The latter also picked up a Platinum certification from the RIAA and was awarded “Rock Song of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Awards. Along the way, the group garnered further acclaim from Billboard, Nylon, Alterative Press, and performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden. The band is a rare breed of act who can ignite a crowd at Kaboo Del Mar or Sonic Temple, in addition to sharing bills with the likes of Incubus, Cage the Elephant, Ghost, Nothing More, Shinedown, Soundgarden, and many more. Collectively gathering over 700M streams across platforms, the band continues their streak of success with their latest single, “Detroit,” reaching No. 1 at active rock radio. Catch Badflower on the road this summer on the 2025 Unity Tour alongside 311, June 20 – August 31. For tickets and more information, visit badflowermusic.com.
