AVOID Share Fun-Loving New Music Video For “Gator Fest”

Heavy rock band, AVOID are now sharing their live music video for their track “Gator Fest,” out November 20 via Thriller Records. The track can be found on the band’s energetic monumental record Cult Mentality out now.

“Gator Fest” manifests AVOID’s signature chaotic energy. This track exudes biting screams laced in contrasting catchy melodies. The band takes an exhilarating spin on live music videos with hints of their visit with reptiles such as snakes, alligators and more. AVOID lets their creativity shine making for an engaging visual.

“It’s so fun to have this video see the light of day! We shot all of this while on tour early this year in March/April and I’m really proud of the end result. Obviously when you’re doing a “live music video” so to speak, it’s a little tough to find total originality. I certainly don’t think we reinvented the wheel or anything with this, but I truly do think that this is a very cool take on what you would typically see from a video like this. Also we hung out with Gators!!! How fking cool is that!!” Says Lead vocalist, Benny Scholl regarding the new video.

Securing a sponsorship with NASCAR which turned their passion into promotion, they had their music and band branded vehicle in the official video game. Singer Benny Scholl went viral with his accidentally acapella rendition of the National Anthem at the NASCAR Vegas race, endearing himself to sports commentator Jim Rome who ran with coverage of the event for weeks. They also forged a long term partnership with SiriusXM, taking over the airwaves on Octane and Liquid Metal with ambassador single “Song About James,” which incorporated their lyrical muse James “Jeopardy James” Holtzhauer in its marketing.

The band has shared stage with the likes of Bad Omens, Dayseeker, The Word Alive, Moodring, and has played the Alpine Horizon Festival. AVOID now has plans to embark on tour with The Plot In You. and Cane Hill.

With new track “Whatever,” the band employ their own brand of meta marketing to pay homage to the snapshots of scene bands on the road before them, while bringing it all into the present moment.

Joining singles “My World,” “COWABUNGA” and “Split (Kill It),” it sets the tone for a new era for the band.
