AS IT IS release ‘Can’t Save Myself X’, featuring NOAHFINNCE

‘Never Happy, Ever After X’, a complete re-working of their debut album, out April 18th

Transatlantic pop-punk/emo quartet, As It Is, have today released, ‘Can’t Save Myself X’, featuring a guest appearance from NOAHFINNCE.

Speaking of the collaboration, the band share, “Can’t Save Myself was the song that found us the attention of a manager and a record label, the first song of ours that really connected and meant people came to our shows. When we were getting into alternative music in the early 2000’s we discovered bands on music video TV channels and that is exactly how Noah discovered As It Is. To have had an impact on anyone or an album that still resonates with people 10 years later is still mad to us. Noah came to our shows and covered us on YouTube and to see him, inspired by our era of pop punk, now out there inspiring a new generation is a wonderful full circle moment that we wanted to immortalise on this new version of Can’t Save Myself.”

“Teenage me seeing As It Is at a teeny venue would have never believed that in a few years I’d be asked to guest on their album,” shares Noah, “let alone being allowed to collab on my favourite song of theirs. I love those guys and have had so much fun working on this.”

AS IT IS (featuring NOAHFINNCE) – ‘Can’t Save Myself X’ (Official Lyric Video)

The recently announced, ‘Never Happy, Ever After X’, is a complete re-recording of their debut album, featuring guest appearances on every track.

Speaking of the April 18th release, the band say, “we knew Never Happy, Ever After deserved a big ten year celebration, and what started as an idea to re-record a few singles, quickly snowballed into an unbelievably ambitious project.

We are incredibly excited to have a whole host of guests join in the celebrations, from artists that directly influenced the record like Hidden In Plain View and Transit, our friends and touring pals in Trash Boat, Holding Absence, ROAM and Mallory Knox and fresh new blood in the scene that As It Is have influenced in some way, like NOAHFINNCE and ARTIO – it is a record full of special full circle moments. From covering Sum 41 on YouTube to having Brownsound shred a solo on a song, and a long overdue collaboration with Kellin Quinn who Patty covered way back in 2011 and we toured with on the Never Happy cycle, this record encapsulates the 2015 scene we came up in whilst paying respect to the bands that influenced it and the new bands that are moving it forward into the future. We can’t wait for people to hear this new version of Never Happy, to get to celebrate this record with so many friends and heroes was inconceivable to the kids that wrote this record ten years ago. This may be the one of the most special records to us that we’ve ever made.”
