June 5, 2025 – Following the release of their powerful sophomore album ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ out now via Pure Noise Records, Arm’s Length are excited to unveil the new music video for the song “Morning Person”. The video marks the final chapter in a haunting three-part visual narrative that began with previous music videos for “Funny Face” and “You Ominously End”. The album’s visual narrative reaches its climax in the music video out today —a dark and cinematic portrayal of grief and memory. As director Alex Scalzo-Brown notes, “Allen’s words in ‘Morning Person’ read to me like grief filling up a room, with all the most beautiful parts of something once lost, crashing into you without mercy. I believe this feeling is mutual between the living and the dead.” Watch the music video for “Morning Person” “Morning Person is genuinely my favorite Arm’s Length song,” says vocalist and guitarist Allen Steinberg. “I’d say it’s the most important one, at least to me. Lyrically, it captures so many emotions that I’ve had to process within not only the last few years, but my entire lifetime. Constant compulsive overthinking, debilitating anxiety and familial trauma are all themes that are tackled in this song. As a whole, it feels extremely triumphant, and writing this song truly helped me realize that I am worth the amount of space I take up in the world.” “I think Alex Scalzo-Brown did an incredible job translating this song into visual art,” Steinberg continues. “He beautifully captures grief, and the video he created grapples with all of the aforementioned themes. The video closes the trilogy with a sense of despair, but also with the sense that all is not hopeless, and that was my intention with the song itself when it was written.” A sweeping and emotionally raw body of work, ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ finds the band—Allen Steinberg (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Whyte (guitar), Ben Greenblatt (bass), and Jeff Whyte (drums)—pushing their sound further than ever before. Produced by longtime collaborator Anton DeLost, the album explores themes of grief, mental health, self-doubt, and resilience through massive guitar hooks and gut-punching lyricism. ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ is out now and be streamed on all digital platforms: https://purenoiserecs.lnk.to/ArmsLengthMusic Steinberg’s personal struggles, which he openly addressed in his songwriting, are central to the album’s creation. He confesses that during the period leading up to the writing of this record, he was “the most mentally ill” he had ever been. Yet, it was precisely through confronting these intense experiences that the album came to life with such urgency and honesty. “The songs aren’t written for anyone else at all,” he says, emphasizing the raw, unfiltered emotion that drives the record’s sound and lyrics. The album peaked at #6 on Billboard’s Current Rock and Alternative Album Charts and #17 for Vinyl Albums. Praise for ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ “The wisdom, life experience, and musical experience that only comes with time and effort is all over There’s A Whole World Out There, which improves upon Never Before Seen, Never Again Found in just about every way.” – Brooklyn Vegan “Arm’s Length return with triumphant sophomore record, ‘There’s a Whole World Out There,’ which is an introspective emo masterpiece.” – New Noise Magazine “Arm’s Length are bringing an entirely new shelf life to the emo genre” – ChorusFM “Sometimes a band drops a debut album so magnificent you wonder how they’ll ever top it. That’s exactly what Arm’s Length did with ‘Never Before Seen, Never Again Found’. However, ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ immediately destroys any/all of those concerns while leaving zero room for comparison to its predecessor outside of insane lyric parallels.” – The Honey Pop “…An Emotionally Gratifying Masterpiece…” – Caliber TV |
