ArcTanGent Festival today can announce that following on from this weeks incredibly sad news that Clown Core will no longer be able to perform at the event, they are to be replaced by the legendary, incredible Spiritualized. Stepping in at this final hour, ArcTanGent could not be more excited to have a band as brilliant as Spiritualized perform in the festivals 10th Anniversary year.
From ArcTanGent Festival organiser and booker James Scarlett: “We were gutted to lose Clown Core, a one-of-a-kind act that we couldn’t just swap for something similar and we know our audience will feel the same way. Instead, we’ve leaned into the diversity and surprises that have defined this year’s ATG lineup and are thrilled to welcome space rock pioneers Spiritualized. They’re a maverick band that reflects the unorthodox artists you will find in our 10th Anniversary year. We know you’ll welcome them with open arms into the family and show them exactly the kind of brilliant festival we are, and how incredibly musically astute our audience is.”
This is of course to add to the already announced likes of – Mogwai, Meshugah, Explosions In The Sky, Baroness, Animals As Leaders (as an EU exclusive), Plini, Red Fang, And So I Watch You From Afar, Ihsahn, Brontide, Scaler and the farewell show from much loved Three Trapped Tigers.
Also to note, Earthside have dropped out and been replaced by Blanket, Iskandr have dropped out and been replaced by God Alone (doing a 2nd, non-silent disco set).
The Elephant In The Bar Room stage will be hosting this years podcasts and live conversations, as well as bands, with the line up for the three days confirmed as below:
Thursday 15th at 9am – Hell Bent For Metal / 10am – Fan Grrrls
Friday 16th at 9am – Noizze / 10am – 2 Promoters, 1 Pod
Saturday 17th at 9am – Come My Fanatics: A Journey Into The World of Electric Wizard /
10am – Spaceships Over Glasgow (with Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai)
