After a series of visits to England and Scotland for performances earlier this year, Anthony Toner is filling the remaining space between now and Christmas with live shows across Northern Ireland, in celebration of his 14th release, Ghost Notes Vol 2, his second collection of cover songs.
This time around, he has gone for a very mellow, late-night sound, focussed on intimate vocals, acoustic guitar, piano and harmonies. And he has chosen songs from a wide variety of sources – from Tom Waits and Randy Newman to Christine McVie, King Crimson and John Martyn.
To support the album, Anthony is playing a selection of live shows from now to the end of the year, some of them solo performances, and some in the company of other artists. A handful of the dates sold out almost immediately after being announced by the venues.
Full details of all the shows, including ticket links, etc are available from Anthony’s website at www.anthonytoner.net
