Metalcore five piece ANOTHER NOW from Eindhoven have released their brand new single and video for ‘WOULD IT KILL YOU?’. The single is taken off the band upcoming album brand new album ‘HEX’. Speaking about the new video vocalist Stef Rikken said, “During the creation of ‘Would It Kill You?’, we discussed the importance of receiving support from our loved ones in maintaining our motivation and self-belief. Music is a big part of our lives, so it’s important that we feel the freedom to keep doing what we love. To some people our music might come across as weird and they question the wisdom of pursuing a career in such a risky industry, what are the chances of succeeding right? However, we see it as an opportunity to embrace risk and defy expectations, even if it means being misunderstood by those who value security over adventure. No risk, no fun.”. The music video for ‘Would It Kill You?’ is shot and directed by the band’s own Miquel (Guitar) in a cold German industrial area. Stef remarked, “We were fortunate to have the weather gods on our side, as the snowfall added a beautiful and dramatic touch to the video.” ‘HEX’ follows up the band’s debut album ‘OMNI’. The roots of this album go back to the end of 2019 when they first drafted a couple of songs in the studio. During the lockdowns the band was experimenting with electronic elements from various musical styles and it formed the base for the sound of the album. ‘OMNI’ was well received in the metal community and was mentioned by platforms such as Rock Sound, KERRANG! LVL99 ANOTHER NOW The band’s previous releases and energetic live performance resulted in playing support shows for acts such as Beartooth (Dynamo, Eindhoven), Asking Alexandria (TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht), Ice Nine Kills (Melkweg, Amsterdam), For I Am King during their album release tour and a pre-show for Metallica during their M72 World Tour. The band performed at festivals such as Jera On Air, Submit Fest and Vest Rock. Previously Another Now released their debut album OMNI (2021), which received support from platforms such as Rock Sound, KERRANG! Magazine, Metal Hammer UK, SiriusXM, Wackenradio, Rhino Radio and Spotify’s editorial playlists ‘New Core’, ‘New Metal Tracks’ and ‘New Blood’. With OMNI, the band put their mark by tying together its themes and concepts with mental health, a subject close to the heart of Vocalist Stef Rikken, working as a social worker in mental health care.
