Multi-cultural quintet ANKOR — vocalist Jessie Williams (Bristol, UK), drummer Eleni Nota (Athens, Greece), guitarists David Romeu and Fito Martinez, and bassist Julio López (Catalonia, Spain) — are an alternative metal band based in Spain that have been steadily making their name in the scene.
Today, ANKOR have shared the video for new single “DANZO · lying ghost,” featuring MAH from the band SiM.
“‘Danzo’ is the shadow pulling the strings, turning you into his puppet,” the band explains. “A battle between control and awakening—until the strings finally snap — and featuring MAH from SiM joining Ankor in the fight.”

ABOUT ANKOR:
The multicultural quintet ANKOR has grown steadily since their origins in Els Pallaresos, a village near Barcelona, back in 2003. From these humble beginnings, Ankor have built a worldwide fanbase and a reputation for being an absolute powerhouse live, through headlining tours of mainland Europe and Asia. But it was with the December 2022 release of breakthrough single “Prisoner” that a new era began. With over three million streams and counting, “Prisoner” has triggered a sonic and aesthetic (r)evolution for Ankor, their musical and visual worlds ascending to new creative heights ever since; The conceptually bound singles “Oblivion,” “Darkbeat,”“Stereo,” and “Venom”that have followed have seen lyrical narratives, sonic aesthetics, and self-directed and edited music videos flow together to reshape Ankor in a playful, energetic, and refreshing new form: a fusion of Asian pop-culture, contemporary metalcore, and a dash of Spanish heritage.
ABOUT SiM:
SiM (Silence iz Mine) formed in Shonan, Kanagawa, Japan, and have become known for their explosive fusion of genres including metal, punk, reggae, ska, and hip-hop. Fronted by vocalist MAH alongside guitarist SHOW-HATE, bassist SIN, and drummer GODRi, the band has built a reputation for high-energy live shows and a rebellious sound that blends heavy riffs with groove-driven rhythms and socially charged lyrics. SiM emerged in the mid-2000s and quickly gained a cult following in Japan’s alternative scene before expanding internationally through relentless touring and genre-defying releases.
Their breakthrough global moment came with the single “The Rumbling,” featured as the opening theme for the anime Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2, which introduced the band to a massive worldwide audience and pushed their music onto global rock charts. Known for constantly evolving their sound while staying rooted in punk spirit and heavy music culture, SiM continue to push boundaries while bringing their explosive hybrid of metal and reggae-infused rock to fans around the world.
