THE GREAT ESCAPE & MANY MORE FESTIVALS THIS SUMMER “Alanis Morissette and Nine Inch Nails vibes abound in this expansive new banger from Northern Irish songstress Amy Montgomery – a pounding, expansive alt rocker that feels simultaneously dystopian and ancient in an earthy, primal sort of way. Dark, twisty and anthemic all at once” – Classic Rock Following the release of her dramatic new single ‘Change Change’, Amy Montgomery has just released a live ‘in the studio’ video that demonstrates the intensity, power and sheer charisma she possesses.Accompanied by her band – featuring Michael Mormecha on drums alongside guitarists Nolan Donnelly and Danny Trouton – Amy channels wild passionate feminine energy into a war cry of frustration and acceptance. Her voice is an instrument of raw, visceral power that leaps out of the speakers, roars from the stage and captivates the listener. Fierce, driven, anthemic and enormous, ‘Change Change’ is an epic rock song, which she describes as “an anthem of courage”, and is destined to set festivals alight this summer. Already a major live draw in Europe and Australia, with a headline slot in Vienna this summer at the Sisters Festival, Amy has also won a devoted home fanbase following previous performances at the likes of Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Black Deer, Cambridge Folk Festival and many more.In 2023 she’ll be performing at multiple festivals starting with The Great Escape in May. Ahead of that she has a special London show on April 11th at The 229 Club. ‘Change Change’ is the second single to be taken from Amy’s forthcoming new EP, following last year’s raucously uplifting track ‘Meet You In The Sun’. Coming later this year, the EP will be her first release to also be available on vinyl and showcases what a sheer force of nature Amy has become. |
