[Los Angeles, CA] – Acclaimed singer & songwriter Amigo the Devil reveals a new video for “I’m Going to Heaven” that offers a glimpse into recent journeys on the road, capturing highlights and special moments from his past tours and studio sessions. Amigo the Devil will embark on a headlining tour to close out 2024 in support of his critically acclaimed album Yours Until the War is Over, which was released earlier this year via Liars Club Records/Regime Music Group. Watch the video HERE.

“Looking back at the recording process of this last record brought back so many more memories of my entire time doing Amigo and how lucky I feel to have met and worked with the amazing people I have. We compiled a bunch of it from different chapters of this adventure, and you can watch it now. I present a memory lane video for “I’m Going to Heaven”. Goddamn, I love my friends,” explains songwriter and vocalist Danny Kiranos.

Shot with an intimate and raw aesthetic, the combination of still imagery and video footage weaves together scenes of electrifying performances, candid behind-the-scenes moments, and the genuine connection Amigo has fostered with his fans. The visual representation provides a poignant reflection on the highs and lows of touring life, resonating deeply with both long-time followers and new listeners alike.

Named one of the 30 Most Anticipated Albums of 2024 by Consequence, Yours Until the War is Over is Amigo the Devil’s most disarming and inspired collection of songs to date. His songs are thoughtful, literary influenced and intelligent with the occasional dash of sardonic wit. Kiranos’ lyrics paint vivid images and serve as cinematic vignettes that address the human condition through flawed characters overtaken by their shortcomings, or precarious situations no one could prepare for. With a title that alludes to Ernest Hemmingway’s entanglement with Agnes von Kurowsky, Yours Until the War is Over displays the depth and breadth of Amigo the Devil’s artistry. It is an album to be experienced from beginning to end to fully recognize the perspective it offers.

“… an album that is more Tom Waits than John Prine…filled with obscure literary references (the title is a reference to Hemingway), liberal doses of humor, and a thread of pathos spread across 13 tracks, Amigo the Devil delivers an album that is alternately fun and sad, sometimes in the same song.” – No Depression

“The lyrical content, while dark and at times disturbing, is exceptional; the pictures that Kiranos paints with his words are vivid, his use of language very good and the wit employed at times, in mostly unexpected places is a joy.” – Americana UK

“…occupies a fractured cinematic space all its own—one that veers artfully between pathos and empathy.” – Magnet

“it’s absolutely glorious….indeed, these are big-screen epics playing out in our headphones. 10/10” – Maximum Volume

“‘Yours Until The War Is Over’ is not only Amigo the Devil’s best album, but it’s an easy album of the year contender.” – The Aquarian

“Danny Kiranos, as Amigo the Devil, has created a masterpiece with this record.” ★★★★★ – XS Noise (UK)
