“Sadurday are ushering in a wave of seething, soul-stirring grunge and ’90s alternative rock for the next generation.” – Atwood Magazine

Today, alternative duo Sadurday have released their new EP, Nothing 2 Celebrate. Comprised of guitarist/bassist Nick Comanici and vocalist/guitarist Annie Jean Linn, the pair met over social media and writing music as a team came together easily. On Nothing 2 Celebrate, Sadurday create a blend of alternative, grunge, and pop elements that serve as a cathartic outlet. The songs have an unhinged cool to them, riddled with emotional storytelling and tuned-in guitars. The EP was recorded in three days at The Animal Farm studios with Jon Markson (Drug Church, Soul Blind) at the helm as engineer and producer, and Adam Cichocki (Gatherers) tracked drums at Timber Studios.

Opening track “Mary” builds on reverberated guitars and powerful vocal delivery encircled by moments of uneasiness. “Sideways” oozes with a ‘90s alt-rock inspired flair, pulling influences from bands like Garbage and Sonic Youth. The EP ends showing the band’s softer side with “White Lies,” encompassing feelings of heartache and lies. Nothing 2 Celebrate serves as an indication of a bright future for Sadurday and can be streamed here now.
