Charlotte, NC alternative rock trio Clearbody have been on a journey of sonic exploration since their inception in 2020. Today, the band shares their latest single “In Another Life”, out through Static Era Records. The song was self-recorded by the band, mixed by Jon Markson, and mastered by Jason Livermore. Thick, grungy guitars lead right into pining vocals that make way for a lush whirlwind of melody. The dynamic shifts lead to a captivating end as vocalist Eric Smeal repeats “It might not be soon, But you know I’ll see you.”
On the song’s lyrics, Smeal shares:
“It’s about all the ‘what if I did this differently what then’ I have in life, I think it’s a really negative way of thinking most of the time so this song is my way of trying to accept the way things are.”
