ALT. RAVE FOR REVOLUTION WITH VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “THEY’VE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE” — WATCH Following on from the release of their blistering single “Sucker Punch” earlier this month, Adelaide alternative rockers alt. return with a thunderous new track “They’ve Always Lived In The Castle,” out now via SharpTone Records, alongside an accompanying music video. Watch it here. A magnetic merging of lyrical urgency and swollen textures, “They’ve Always Lived In The Castle” balances its angular, anthemic choruses with electro rave flourishes worthy of a neo-noir soundtrack, complete with a fitting nod to Pump Panel’s remix of New Order’s “Confusion,” alongside a powerful call-to-arms. “‘They’ve Always Lived In The Castle’ is a rallying cry for revolution,” shares the band. “It confronts a world where power has always protected itself. Where the wealthy remain untouched, and those at the top tighten their grip while the rest are left behind. The song channels the anger and urgency of a breaking point, a moment when people decide they’ve had enough and rise to reclaim their lives.” The band continues, “But revolution comes at a cost. The first strike sparks a brutal retaliation from Nephilim Corp, unleashing violence that leaves thousands dead. What begins as defiance quickly becomes a war and the fight for freedom is only just beginning.” |
