Pulling musical inspiration from artists such as Contortionist, The Devil Wears Prada, Mushroom Head, Adrift On River Styx puts a spin on creativity with their 2018 album, Trial. Judgement. Accession. “Our album is a concept album, about a man who dies and goes through the underworld and goes through trials with the leaders of the underworld and he ultimately becomes the ruler of the underworld.” Says Kotris “What he sees as he’s traveling through reflects on what I go through mentally.”
The band is now gearing up to release their brutal new single, “Hunter/Hunted” as they embark on a new era of their music. “The song is heavily influenced by a video game called Hitman, the song is about realizing that whatever I’m struggling with, I have the power whether it be mental health or otherwise.” Say Kotris about the new track “It’s to say I hold the power over feeling like that.”
